I recieved my B.A. in Music from University of Oregon School of Music in 2004 and I have over 14 years of experience on the guitar including 5 years of teaching experience. I have studied under Don Latarski and Mike Denny. I teach people of all ages and levels. Lesson material based on your musical interests unless a more regimented program is prefered. I am well versed in Jazz, Rock, Blues, Folk and Fusion and I'm open to all musical interests. I’ll find out where you are on the guitar, where you want to be, and a way to get you there. I can teach you about scales, modes, harmony, composition and the world of music theory as it applies to the guitar and beyond. I am reasonably priced at $30/hr or $20 per half hour. I’m located in NE Portland.

  Assuming the role of a music educator is an awesome responsibility; as a private guitar and theory instructor I am charged with the tasks of shaping a child's perspective and attitude toward playing and listening to music, helping adults discover a new creative outlet, and help move students who are passionate about their music toward their next artistic milestone. I know first hand the important role a private music teacher can play in a persons life. The relationships I have forged with my early music teachers have been life long and now I hope to pass on the knowledge and encouragement that I have been fortunate enough to receive from them.
